This case study sought to provide therapeutic support for a child in foster care suffering from attachment trauma. The client, a 4-year-old boy, was referred to play therapy due to extreme levels of aggressiveness, anxiety, difficulties in sleeping, and refusal to engage in potty training. Child-centered play therapy was employed as the therapeutic intervention, and the foster care mother also received psychoeducational support which focused on building her child rearing skills and helping her create a secure relationship. The treatment plan consisted of 43 play therapy sessions, 15 parent consultation sessions, and 1 follow-up session after two months. The process of play therapy progress and themes were analyzed, and the findings provide implications for mental health professionals.
